Symposium in honour of Prof. F. Dias’ 60th birthday

Welcome

This 3-day symposium is to celebrate the work of Prof. Frederic Dias, who will turn 60 this year. Frederic is an internationally leading mathematician who has given an outstanding contribution to mathematical fluid dynamics in the past 30 years.

The Symposium is open to mathematicians and scientists interested in applied mathematics to fluid dynamics. Registration is now closed.

This symposium will bring together the UK and international Mathematics communities to celebrate Frederic’s outstanding contribution to our field and to offer opportunities for collaboration with industry and further development of ideas.

Session 1 – Thursday 27th

Information for Speakers

Talks: Presentations will be 25 minutes long + 5 minutes for questions and changeover. Please make sure you upload your presentations before the beginning of your session.

If you plan to present with your own laptop, please note that you must install MS Teams, otherwise online attendees won’t be able to see your presentation.

Accommodation: Non-local speakers will be staying at the Link Hotel, just in front of our main campus. We’ve already booked accommodation and breakfast for you at the Link Hotel, so please do not book your accommodation, we won’t be able to refund you the cost.

Travel: Non-local speakers have been assigned a maximum travel budget that we can reimburse, depending on where they’re travelling from. Your travel expenses will be refunded to you up to the maximum amount specified. Please start making your travel arrangements and keep your receipts.
